I have always been a creative person and my dream job was to be a stylist; unfortunately, in my younger years the only thing I was taught was: get a degree and get a good job. So trying to follow that advice I attended Malcolm X college and received my associates degree and started working for CTA. Knowing that I was not trying to make this job a career, but just not knowing how to act on it. That is when God made a SHIFT on my life. On September 22, 2017 I was in a bad car accident and was home from work for 8 months. Knowing that even through these injuries God wanted more from me, I decided to use that free time to learn. I bought my first sewing machine. I inboxed a well known designer and became her very first assistant. We worked together for months before I branched off on my own. I went through so many names and logos before B.Walker stuck with me. Business hasn’t always been great, but I haven’t always been a consistent worker. As a full time Mother & full time employee I felt I was neglecting my business. In 2019 I experienced so much and just wanted to become focused again. I revamped my logo, putting more of me into it. My business is my heart and although the strongest muscle of my body had taken so much energy out of me, it made me the designer I am today! Each tragic moment in my life was a level up for growth in my business. Anytime I get comfortable the lord adds a little pressure to move me, and this is just my beginning.. God brought me through so many trials and tribulations and now I am able to tell my testimony! Stay on the lookout because there is SO much more to come from B.WalkerCollection ❤️
